This year’s DHASOL hosted the Diwali gathering as a joint event with Chha Gam Nagrik Mandal UK (CGNM UK). This event was a great opportunity to show unity between all the Chha Gam community and a great way to socialise and catch up with everyone. We were entertained by the incredibly talented Little Stars who performed many old classic numbers which everyone enjoyed. It was amazing to see these youngsters perform these old melodies which were around long before they were born!

 

DHASOL honoured their longstanding dedicated volunteers with a plaque as a small token of our appreciation for all their hard work and support over the years. Our volunteers are the pillars of the charity and this was a lovely way to show our gratitude.

 

We also formerly honoured Mrs Ushmaben Nishit Patel, as in the summer she was presented with an MBE for her services to public administration as a diary secretary for the Department for Communities and Local Government. Ushma is a Dharmaj daughter and we are very proud of her incredible achievement at such a young age and she will be an inspiration for all our young people.
