BBQ 2017
Once again, our BBQ was a huge success despite a cloudy start to the day interrupted by a quick shower followed by a cloudy but warm day. The day was tinged with sadness for the committee and volunteers as we were missing Sushilamasi who sadly passed away suddenly last year. She was the pillar of all our events including the BBQ. It was lovely to see her family who joined us to enjoy the day.
We had delicious food and great company which made for a great cocktail for a very enjoyable BBQ!  Young and old enjoyed the afternoon with their friends and family - eating and socialising.  Food included papdi no lot, methi na gota, chilli bhajia, samosas, bhel, pizza, masala chips, popcorn, kebabs, jeera chicken, chutney, salad, ice cream and finishing off early evening with traditional Vagarali Khichidi and Chaas.
There were many stalls to browse through where ladies in particular made a start to their shopping for Rakshabandhan, Diwali and Navratri. There were stalls for saris, punjabi dresses, chanya cholis, jewellery and Diwali decorations.
Children enjoyed the bouncy castle, tug of war and musical chairs and adults enjoyed the sumo wrestling!
The Property Lottery was drawn and the winners were announced on the day.
Prizes included:
1st – 7 Nights Mediterranean Cruise for 2 adults
2nd – return economy flight to Ahmadabad for 2 adults between September-November
3rd - £500 voucher for PBL Jewellers

We would like to thank everyone for their support during this event, in particular our sponsors and volunteers. All the committee members and volunteers did an excellent job to make our annual event a huge success and we hope to see you all next year!
